A project that I completed for the YCN Hearing Loss Brief.
The aim of the project is to visualise the effects of hearing loss in the form of words. The erasure of the 'sounding words' creates a difficult reading experience - just like hearing loss does in an audio environment.
The campaign continues with the meaning of the name changing. On the platform Instagram, stories without sound evolves to relate to Instagram Stories. The idea is essentially the same, erasing any sounding words that appear, and also any sounding words in real life that are captured on camera. All stories that have erased words would automatically be captured under the collective hashtag #storieswithoutsound.
